Hidden Connections

Zeeland Seaports, the third seaport of the Netherlands, is formed by the seaports of Borsele, Vlissingen and Terneuzen. The port authority is responsible for the economic development, the management, maintenance and operation of the port area. It wants to present itself in the market as a sustainable port. One of the main thrusts here is to develop sustainable industry and to make existing industry along the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal more sustainable.
This spearhead gives rise to innovations aimed at the sustainable (re)use of residual flows. A precondition for utilising residual flows and opening up a market for trading in these flows is an infrastructure (physical and organisational) to link various users with each other; we call this a
Multi Utility Provider (MUP).
