The main objective of Zeeland Seaports is socio-economic. As a public organisation, Zeeland Seaport’s goal is to generate prosperity in the region by developing and managing the ports of Terneuzen and Vlissingen (Flushing).

The main means of developing and managing the ports is to accommodate new port and industrial companies and to facilitate for established ones. To this end, Zeeland Seaports develops and manages many forms of infrastructure: harbours, quays, roads, railways, pipelines, (tele)communications, glass fibre networks, utility connections, et cetera. She also actively contributes to the development of investment plans.
