The port of Vlissingen at the North site of the Western Scheldt and the port of Terneuzen at the south site, together form the Port of Zeeland. This port is one of the most ideal situated ports in the northwestern part of Europe, because of its strategical position. The port is located at the Westerschelde, between Rotterdam and Antwerp, and has an open connection to the North Sea.
