Both in the canal zone and around the Braakman Harbour, with its deepwater berths, Terneuzen offers space, infrastructure and top quality support services for all kinds of industrial activities.

Many leading firms have already chosen Terneuzen as their European base for production and distribution.

Terneuzen is home to Dow Benelux, the largest chemical plant of Dow outside the United States.
Excellent opportunities for companies in the chemical sector haven been opened up by Valuepark Terneuzen, a joint venture of Zeeland Seaports and Dow, a 140 hectare for chemical producers and for providers of logistics and support services – in particular, the storage and transport of chemicals. Major logistics providers already established in the Valuepark including Bertschi AG, Katoen Natie, Oiltanking Terneuzen NV and Vos Logistics.

In addition other industries in Terneuzen include:

  • Yara Sluiskil BV – Europe’s largest production site for ammonia and fertilisers
  •  Nedalco – production of alcohol and bio-ethanol
  •  Cargill – production of modified food starches.
